CASTELLO DI SANTA CATERINA

It is a Fortress situated on the summit of the highest mountain in on the island, and approachable by way of a long path. It has three main parts, built over time upon the base of an original Saracen tower and surrounding wall, in Bourbon times it was unfortunately best known for the prisons situated inside it. It is worth a visit also because of its incredible view.
