CHIESA DI MARIA SANTISSIMA DEL ROSARIO

The church of Maria Santissima del Rosario, wished for by Prince Fardella and considered to be one of the first cult buildings of Paceco, already existed in 1654. The la Confraternita del Santissimo Rosario was based here and buried their dead in the crypts underneath. It has a simple façade, with  four long pilasters which is completed with a bell loggia with round arches. It is entered through a doorway which is richly decorated in the fastigium, in baroque style, with a raised gable in which there is the letter M for Mary. The interior with a single nave, brightened by simple decoration holds a painting depicting the Madonna del Rosario con San Domenico - Madonna of the rosary with San Domenico,  iconography belonging to the Domenican order.
