CHIESA DEL PURGATORIO
Built at the time of the founding of the town by Luigi Arias Giardina, and dedicated to Sant’Orsola in honour of his daughter who bore the same name, the church was donated by Giardina to the Confraternita della Concezione in 1629 on the condition that they celebrated a daily mass for the Saintly Souls of Purgatory from where the present name of the church derives.
In the XIX century is was notably restructured, probably encompassing part of a nearby church. From the same century is the neo-risorgimental façade and the bell tower with the east-leaning cupola.
