On Maundy Thursday organised by the Confraternity of Sant’Anna, a theatrical Via Crucis takes place with characters who parade through the main streets of the city interpreting the roles of Jesus, Mary, Judas, Pilate, Herod, Caiaphas, and also centurions, warriors, lictors and Judaeans.
