MUSEO ETNOANTROPOLOGICO COMUNALE

Museum holds ancient mementoes of the population and documents its predominantly farming vocation collecting now almost unknown tools, instruments and objects which show the different activities which took place in the fields, the craftsmen workshops or simply in the domestic environment.
Moreover it proposes a study itinerary to learn about the culture and organization of the society of Calatafimi in past centuries. There is a reconstructed kitchen, a farmers dining room, an early nineteenth century bedroom and a cobbler’s workshop with all the traditional tools of the trade. There is also an interesting wine press and a loom for rug making.
