Les églises sont de véritables écrins de trésors. La première de toute, l’Eglise Principale (Chiesa Madre) doit au flamant Guglielmo Borremans les fresques de la voûte de la nef centrale et à Antonello Gagini le splendide triptyque représentant la Madone et les apôtres Philippe et Jacques (1519), le relief présentant l’Assomption de Marie (1529) et le Crucifix (1523) ; Giacomo Gagini est quant à lui l’auteur du San Pietro (1586).L’Eglise Principale s’impose avec l’habituel plan basilical établi par Angelo Italia et Giuseppe Diamante (XVIIe s.).
