STATUE DI GIACOMO SERPOTTA

 

The church of San Francesco di Paola is decorated by a splendid group of eight statues, perfectly made in stucco by the great sculptor from Palermo Giacomo Serpotta (1724): Gentleness, Peace, Strenght, Purity, San Pietro e San Paolo, are to be found along the walls, l'Addolorata and the Maddalena are to be found at the foot of the Crucifix. There are also two magnificent statues by Giacomo Serpotta (1722) depicting Justice and Charity in the church of Saints Cosma and Damiano.
