CHIESA SAN FRANCESCO DI PAOLA
Built together with the Benedictine monastery annex Badia Nuova in 1531, it was demolished in 1699 and rebuilt in the first half of the XVIII century with some work done in 1724 by the Architect Giovanni Biagio Amico from Trapani. On the outside the church is discreet and inside it reveals a good balance and spatial content: the single nave has a barrelled roof, altars on the sides, lightly embedded between simple staffs in the fluted walls, and has a sober stucco decoration. It holds a splendid painting by Pietro Novelli depicting San Benedetto da Norcia distributing the rules.
