CASINA DELLE PALME
Realized from the plans of the engineer Francesco La Grassa in 1927, it is one the best known examples of Art Nouveau in Trapani. It was commonly known as the “Chalet” and until the end of the 20th century, during summer evenings it was an outdoor café, a meeting place for the high society of Trapani. The building has two floors and encases a beautiful palm tree that rises and passes through an opening in the roof, shooting out towards the sky.
The open space surrounding it was for “café concerts”, where performances were carried out on a stage built nearby.
