Sanctuary of the Annunziata
Built in the first half of the 14th century by the Carmelite fathers. In the 18th century it underwent an almost complete reconstruction in Baroque style according to the plans of G.B. Amico. Its façade is plain with a decorated Gothic –“Chiaramontano” multi arched lintel portal. A beautiful rosette contrasts with the bell tower that recalls Baroque styling. Inside, the chapel, made of “mischi” marble encases the beautiful simulacrum of the Madonna of Trapani, work of Nino Pisano (14th century) patron saint of the city and protector of sea-farers.
